VoiceNote is a sound recorder application for Symbian^3 platforms created with Qt framework. VoiceNote included advanced features like location tags, custom tags, archive listing of recordings and email sharing. Dropbox is one option for users to share their recordings straight from the mobile application, if they thus want.

- Archive view with ability to filter results based on date, tags and length.
- Storage device information dialog.
- Supports landscape/portrait orientations.
- Uses Gestures. Tap&hold gestures are used to display context menus.
- Automatically detects if user has deleted recordings outside the application, and asks the user if he wishes to delete them from the database also.
- Sharing methods are automatically enabled if they are available and supported.

VoiceNote uses Qt mobility 1.02 API for location, multimedia, messaging and systemInfo features. Current version of the VoiceNote only supports PCM audio with wav container on maemo5 platform and AMR codec on Symbian platforms. VoiceNote is designed to support multiple audio codecs, but currently the Qt mobility API's audio codec support is very limited.
